Recently, the “HIT-Tian Wang Institute of Electronic Timing Technology” a collaboration of Tian Wang and School of Mechatronics Engineering, HIT was officially established and the two parties held a grand ceremony to unveil the signboard. The ceremony was well attended and saw personages such as Mr. Hou Qinghai, General Manager of Tian Wang Electronics (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., Mr. Zhang Kelai, Senior Engineer of the R&D Center of Tian Wang, and Associate Dean Song Baoyu, Director Peng Gaoliang and Professor Wang Xiaoxi of School of Mechatronics Engineering, HIT as well as professor He Weiming.

Harbin Institute of Technology is one of the key universities in China under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. With rich scientific research achievements since its establishment, HIT enjoys not only high reputation in domestic academic world but also a good amount of repute globally. Tian Wang, as a leading brand with great fashion value in domestic watch industry, has been advocating an enterprising spirit and a focus on exploration and innovation for many years. With HIT having accumulated a certain amount of disciplinary advantage, while Tian Wang with its accurate industry forecasts, industry experience and brand resources for the past several years, it seemed natural for the two sides to collaborate with each other and co-found the “HIT-Tian Wang Institute of Electronic Timing Technology” to facilitate the upgrading and transformation of the time industry. 

The establishment of the “Institute of Timing Technology” integrates Tian Wang’s industry experience and brand resources built over the past years and gives full play to HIT’s advantages in talents and scientific research, creating a win-win situation between the university and the enterprise. Meanwhile, it will also provide necessary technical support for national watch industry to explore international market.
